About Us
Headcount, planned with the discipline of capital.
To help organisations plan, govern and track headcount with the same discipline they apply to revenue, capital and investment decisions.
We give Finance, HR and business leaders the clarity to make better workforce decisions, without the scramble, politics and spreadsheet chaos that too often define planning cycles. Kivos exists to turn headcount planning from a low-trust annual exercise into a live management capability across people, system and process.
Kivos was founded after years of seeing the same patterns repeat across planning cycles in organisations of different sizes, sectors and stages of growth. The tools changed, the terminology changed, and the reporting packs became more sophisticated, but the underlying pain points remained the same: contested baselines, padded requests, unclear costs, off-system approvals and plans that drifted from reality the moment the cycle ended.
Having lived through more planning cycles than we can count, we saw that the issue was rarely a lack of effort. It was a process that had never been properly designed end to end. Kivos was created to bring together the finance discipline, operating-model thinking and practical implementation experience needed to fix headcount planning in a way that actually works.

Not a tool vendor. Not a generalist firm.
| Big consultancy | Implementation partner | Kivos | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starts with | A framework deck | The software | Your actual process |
| Tool stance | Often partnered | Sells one platform | Agnostic, by principle |
| Covers both halves | Planning only, usually | Whatever the tool does | Planning + approval, as one |
| Can spec the build | Rarely to depth | For their tool only | Full functional blueprint |
| Pricing | Day-rate teams | Licence + services | Fixed fee |
We've built this before, from the inside.
Before becoming advisors, we designed the planning product end to end: the cost engine, the approval logic, the data model. That's why we can hand you, or your chosen vendor, a build-ready blueprint no generalist or single-platform partner can write.
